I'm Amanda, The owner and operator of Amanda K Events & Designs. I am North Carolina born and raised, and I never dreamed life would lead to such a dream job such as wedding planning; however, after getting a degree in English Education, I ended up working for a wedding venue in North Carolina. That is where my passion for wedding and event planning.
I love getting to call North Carolina home with my wonderful husband Ryan and cute fur babies Fox and Scully. However, I try to take every opportunity to see the world around me!
I have now been in the wedding industry for nine years and have helped couples design their dream day from start to finish time and time again. I specialize in full service planning but offer custom packages because I believe each wedding or event is unique and beautiful. I love focusing on making your wedding or event all you have dreamed about from the beginning of the planning process.

Why should I hire a wedding or event planner and is Amanda K Events the right fit for me?
I have been in the wedding industry in North Carolina since 2014. With many years of experience, vendor relationships, and industry know how, I have the experience of someone you want by your side. Hiring a planner is a totally personal experience and it can save you money and stress in the long run, but I won't lie and tell you that it is not a luxury. Weddings can be expensive, and if I am not the right fit, I have always said what's meant to be will be. I can't wait to walk along side you on your event planning journey, but if I am not the planner for you, that is Ok!
How many people are on your team?
Amanda K Events & Designs is comprised of three head planners and two assistants. Many events have 2-3 staff members present on your day.
Is your team available for travel?
100% yes! Sign me up! My passport is waiting patiently. My dream location is Lake Como Italy. However, my favorite NC venue is anywhere with a mountain backdrop! I also speak and write French and have daily dreams of Paris.
What is required to book Amanda and her team?
To book with the team, a 1/3 deposit is required with two additional 1/3 payments. Payment plans can be set up for those who request them; however, payments are non-refundable as work is being done prior to the event day.
Do you have a minimum budget that you work with?
I have worked with budgets of all shapes and sizes and I truly believes all weddings are unique. Please don't hesitate to reach out. However, we do find that our services best align with budgets that are around $500 per guest for the entire wedding day.
Do you only work with certain vendors.
While the first step to planning is budgeting, the second step will be curating a list of vendors tailored specifically to your wedding day. No, you do not have to book vendors I recommend as they may not be the best fit for your day. However, I have vetted each vendor for their professionalism and quality of service. Each vendor that I recommend to you will be a vendor you will not regret!
